 DERMAL FILLERS
PART 2: PLUMPING

OUR SECOND FAVORITE THING TO DO

DERMAL FILLERS

As we age the natural support layers in the skin breakdown resulting in the formation of wrinkles. Fillers add volume lost during the aging process by temporarily smoothing out facial wrinkles and lines.

Static lines are lines that are visible when the muscles are at rest can be treated with dermal fillers.

Hyaluronic Acid is a natural sugar complex found in all living cells and one of the major components of the dermis connective tissue matrix. Hyaluronic Acid retains water like a sponge, absorbing more than 1000 times its’ weight. This type of filler hydrates your skin and increases volume and density.

Hyaluronic Acid is injected just under the skin’s surface at the site of deep wrinkle formation to temporarily correct wrinkles.

Dermal filler treatment procedures take 15 – 30 minutes. It is simple and quick and can be done on your lunch hour. Injection discomfort is managed by applying topical anesthetic cream and/or cold packs. Dental blocks are also available.

Results are immediate, but full results can be appreciated a few days after treatment when the filler attracts and absorbs water at the treated sites.

Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing. And one treatment could smooth your lines and wrinkles for up to 1 year! However, results may vary and correction is temporary. Supplemental “touch up” treatments may be required to achieve and maintain optimal results.
